Inverter Bypass/Transfer Switch

A great way to enhance control of your solar power system.

This is the same bypass control as the bypass-switch on Trace-Factory Built Power Panels. It contains two 60 amp breakers with a center toggle, so when one breaker is turned ON the other is turned OFF. When wired between your inverter, and either your generator or utility supplied AC input and panel (loads), it allows you to bypass the inverter to power loads directly from your AC input (either generator or utility), either during inverter maintenance or repair or if you want to power some extra loads for short periods.

It's very helpful to be able to power loads directly from the utility or a generator for short periods, rather than have the battery/inverter try to meet some short term "extra" loads. You just temporarily bypass the inverter (and batteries) to run the extra load.

This device can also be used as a transfer switch from one inverter to another, for example,
where "Upper Breaker On" supplies power to loads from a primary inverter, and
"Lower Breaker On" provides power from a secondary or back up inverter.
